Gold Krugerrands a recognized as legal tender by the SA Reserve Bank and therefore is not subject to VAT. While the Silver Krugerrand does attract VAT.

Krugerrand pricing is determined on the daily trading price. Krugerrands and gold have appreciated in value at an average rate of 15 – 20% per year making it a compelling investment vehicle to have in any worthwhile investment portfolio.
